Series que representan mi obra y conceptos

Como escritor, editor, director de arte y productor de medios electrónicos e impresos, combino lenguaje e imagen. Como pintor, me interesa la interacción del color, la creación de marcas, los jeroglíficos, la caligrafía china, los códices mayas, las geometrías mudéjares, el graffiti y la llamada escritura asémica (que puede tener un significado nulo o significados infinitos). También soy bilingüe y bicultural y a menudo me encuentro en el espacio entre dos mundos.
En mi trabajo identifico varias series, las cuales tiene similitudes y diferencias entre sí.
Menciono varias, Sistemas, Variaciones, Glifos, Sellos, Sintaxis, Traducción, siendo la más reciente Algoritmo que es la que desarrolle para este proyecto.
En mi serie reciente, Variaciones, exploro la idea de variación infinita dentro de formas fijas. Así como en la idea de un Hortus Conclusus, un recinto de jardín cerrado que refleja una idea sobre el equilibrio y el sistema metafísico. De manera similar, en la serie Algoritmos, exploro sistemas, pero las geometrías y las intersecciones formales son aleatorias. Ambos también podrían considerarse planes; un chip de computadora, una cuadrícula urbana, un mapa o un diagrama esquemático para una máquina con un propósito aún desconocido.
Series that represent my work and concepts

As a writer, editor, art director and producer for electronic and print media, I combine language and image. As a painter, I am interested in the interaction of color, the creation of marks, hieroglyphs, Chinese calligraphy, Mayan codices, Mudejar geometries, graffiti and the so-called asemic writing (which can have zero meaning or infinite meanings). I am also bilingual and bicultural and often find myself in the space between two worlds.
In my work I identify several series, which have similarities and differences between them.
I mention several, Systems, Variations, Glyphs, Seals, Syntax, Translation, the most recent being Algorithm, which is the one I developed for this project.
In my recent series, Variations, I explore the idea of infinite variation within fixed forms. As well as in the idea of a Hortus Conclusus, a closed garden enclosure that reflects an idea about balance and the metaphysical system. Similarly, in the Algorithms series, I explore systems, but the geometries and formal intersections are random. Both could also be considered plans; a computer chip, an urban grid, a map or a schematic diagram for a machine with an as yet unknown purpose.
